9 Million Australians Use Facebook Every Day

newfacebooklogo The Facebook operation in Australia have released a number of interesting stats today as we see the company globally share more insights about particular regions and demographic stats.

Australian user metrics:

12 million MAU = Total monthly active users (desktop and mobile)
9 million DAU = Total daily active users (desktop and mobile)
9.8 million M/MAU = Mobile monthly active users (mobile only)
7.3 million M/DAU = Mobile daily active users (mobile)

The stat I found most interesting – having 9 million Australians logging on every day, or ~39% of the total Australian population (ABS pop clock).

I think we can all agree no other social networks get this sort of user retention and visitor frequency – so it is certainly in Facebook’s interest to keep sprouting these kind of stats.
