Advertising has come to the Homepage of Facebook

It seems Facebook is pushing full steam ahead with their application and platform strategy.

I have just noticed these ads on their homepage:

We can see Facebook is now promoting certain apps on the homepage of their site.

This is a big deal as Facebook has never done this before, and any spare space on the homepage has been previously used promote their mobile apps and website.

This may not being showing for all Australian users yet, but keep an eye out for the change.
