The store now has over 250,000 applications from around 50,000 developers.
Books and Games are the 2 most popular categories, with about 30% market share combined.
Around 30% of the apps are free, 70% are paid-for applications.
In comparison, the Android Marketplace has about 95,000 applications and the BlackBerry AppWorld – 9,000.
