Are we addicted to the internet?

The internet is a tool many of us use everyday for work or personal reasons.

In fact we recently celebrated the internet becoming 20 years old.

Fact is the first 10 years of the internet slowly gathered new users. The last 10 years – user numbers have exploded!

It is reported now 1 in 8 internet users suffer a serious problem (or addition) with the internet.

As of 2010 there are about 1.8 Billion people using the internet.

In 2009 we globally we spent:
3.9 Billion hours on Microsoft sites
2.5 Billion hours on Google sites
1.7 Billion hours on Yahoo sites
1.4 Billion hours on Facebook

I think a lot more of us are addicted to the internet than we realise / are happy to admit.
