Microsoft Acquire Yahoo, Take 2?

on October 6, 2011 | Microsoft Yahoo | Comments (0)

There are rumors floating around that Microsoft may be looking to make another bid to acquire Yahoo Inc.

In 2008 Microsoft put forward a bid of $44 Billion, which the Yahoo management team rejected.

This lead to Yahoo stock price tumbling and Jerry Yang who was CEO (and also Founder of Yahoo) was removed from the CEO role and later replaced by Carol Bartz.

However other companies may be interested in purchasing, namely Alibaba Group and even possibly News Corporation.

Many are speculating if a deal was to go ahead with Microsoft it will be much lower than their 2008 bid of $44 Billion.
