RUMOR: Google search to be replaced with Bing on iPhone

There have been many rumors amongst tech news publishers that Bing will replace Google as the default search provider on the iPhone once OS4 is rolling out to devices globally.

This is kind of expected especially considering that Google’s Android has been stealing market share from the iPhone over the last several months.

Apple apparently has a big announcement to make on June 7 at the Apple World-Wide Developers Conference so we will be sure to find out then.

Is estimated that Google is already paying a couple hundred million dollars per year (estimates range from $100-500 Million) to be the default search provider on the iPhone so you could assume that Microsoft / Bing will pay even more.

At the moment there is only Google and Yahoo search available on the iPhone. Google accounts for 99% of searches from the iPhone, and Yahoo 1%
