WordPress releases version 3.1.4 – Security Updates

Hi All – just a quick update to let you know WordPress has released version 3.1.4 of their popular blogging software to feature a number of security updates.

Specifically the update addresses Database and Editor level vulnerabilities that could allow deeper access into the site beyond assigned user roles.

So go in into your WordPress dashboard and update your installation if you like. Please make sure you do make a backup of your database – as you should do before all WordPress upgrades.

I actually recommend you do a WordPress every couple of days for safety sake. There are a number of WordPress plugins that can automatically backup you database every few days, or when specified.
