No iPhone 5
Apple have just had their conference at its Cupertino, California campus.
Many people have been awaiting the news of an all new iPhone 5.
Apple is releasing a new model iPhone, but it will be an iPhone 4S.
The iPhone 4S will have some new features over the regular 4G model, such as:
– new A5 cpu/processor
– 8-megapixel camera with support for 1080p HD video
– 14.4Mbps download speeds
– dual-antenna
– 64GB storage capacity
This new model will also get iOS5 – which allows for iTunes in the cloud (iCloud), full Twitter integration, and Apple also have a new native app called iMessage which is a free messaging device between all iOS5 devices (similar to BlackBerry messenger).
You can see the phone in the Australian Apple store for $799 unlocked – http://store.apple.com/au/browse/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone?mco=MTAyNTQzMjI
There has been a collective ‘Doh’ from Apple fans around the world as they really did expect a new iPhone 5 to be released.
What’s interesting is that Google is holding an event on October 11 about new updates to Android and NFC mobile payments.
Is this the right strategy from Apple? Surely the iPhone 5 is in the build? Apple does have $90 Billion in the bank so they have been playing their cards right so far.
