Social Media Statistics Australia – December 2014
Happy New Year!
Thanks to all my readers and clients for making 2014 our best year yet. I’m sure 2015 will be even better. I wish you all well and lets push business forward even more this year.
It is now January 1, 2015 and that means we post our monthly social media report showing the most popular social networks in Australia over the December 2014 period.
As mentioned in December – at this time of year we see some users change the way they use social media – predominantly younger people < 40 years of age. We see some of this demographic ditch their business related social networking in favour of posting up their summer holiday enjoyment. Quite common actually.

- Surprising to see Yelp drop 200,000 users over the Christmas period
- YouTube has a slight increase
- Most other social networks remain steady
