Bebo is a social networking site that caters for users globally but has be especially popular in Ireland, News Zealand and the UK.

In April 2008 Bebo was purchased by AOL for US$850 Million. Unfortunately the site has seen dwindling user numbers and Bebo is now being considered for sale or possible closed down.

Bebo has a couple special features such as Bebo Music, Bebo Mobile, Bebo Groups, Bebo Books/ Authors.

When a user creates their Bobo profile the privacy option is defaulted to Private – which is rare amongst other social networking sites.

At their peak Bebo had around 40,000,000 (40 Million) users worldwide.
