Twitter Will Now Pass on Details of Trolls to the Police
Just in – Twitter will now work with authorities in Australia to reveal the identity and computer information of bullies on the site who are ‘trolling’.
This is expected – Facebook have done this for a long time, and you could say this has helped many people avoid becoming a victim of crime or verbal online abuse.
Twitter needs to do the right thing here, and I’m glad to see they have finally accepted to do this. The police and other authorities have been urging Twitter to help combat online abuse for sometime.
