Apple iBooks 2 – Education
Apple has just announced that they will be releasing iBooks 2.
iBooks is an official iOS application made by Apple currently available on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices for reading e-books.
Now Apple is building iBooks 2 which will primarily be used for educational purposes in Schools and Universities.
So Apple’s aim here is to bring interactivity to textbooks via the iPad. Students will be able to read notes, watch videos, complete quizzes and many other tasks.
Starting from Monday students will be able to purchase textbooks from around $15USD for their iPad instead of having the physical paper copy.
An update to iTunes has also been released to improve the wireless sync of e-books to iOS devices.
