Best Techniques to Maximise Social Media Content Sharing

If you are looking to get your content shared on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter take note of these techniques to encourage social sharing.

Firstly make sure you blog posts have short concise headings, keyword rich articles and stimulating material for the user to read.

Twitter

– Do short tweets so people can RT @[your handle]

– Avoid technical terms that an ‘average’ user would not understand.

– If you have a loyal base of followers, don’t be afraid to ask them to republish/retweet your content socially.

– Publish your blog posts and social sharing early in the morning, particularly Monday’s.

– Use ‘buzz’ works like insights, analysis, and opinion to entice readership.

Facebook

– Ideally only post once per day, and if possible every second day. This ensure enough time for your post to be read and shared.

– Avoid technical terms on Facebook.

– Content is most shared on the weekend, which is a good time to re-post your content.

– Include photos and video if possible and practical.

I hope this tips help you in some way. If you have any of your own tips to get more noticed on social networks, and get other people sharing your content – we would love to hear them!
