Facebook Ad changes roll out to Australia

on November 8, 2011 | Facebook | Comments (0)

Facebook has made a tweak to the ads displayed on their site.

Specifically on the profile and newsfeed pages, Facebook ads have been moved ads to the top right of the page above the realtime ticker.

It seems they may have done this for a number of reasons:

    • Increase presence/impressions
    • Location next to ticker gets constant visibility
    • The ads sit next to header profile images on the profile/timeline page.

Here is a preview of how it looks:

It will be interesting to see if this results in price increases for the ads, as no doubt they will get more clicks and impressions, therefore CPM/ CPC must rise?

I am no Ad Marketing expert, but will be interesting to see if this result in more successful campaigns and budgets being fulfilled quicker.
