Facebook gives users 25 free Facebook credits
Many users have been given free Facebook credits to buy social games. It seems Facebook is pushing these products further as some gaming developers are making huge money out of the games/ apps.
Users are also able to purchase gifts for other users (eg when it is someones birthday) but this feature will actually be retired soon.
It seems Facebook is trying to get more users involved in the social gaming. For myself I have actually never played a game on Facebook, and very rarely use a 3rd party app designed by someone other than Facebook.
