Facebook now has 600 million members globally and half of these log in on a daily basis. Facebook’s growth curve is also on the steady rise and has not shown any signs of flattening out yet.

So lets look at how users are uploading photos on Facebook.

– At the end of 2010, there were 60 billion photos on Facebook.

– It is expected by the end of 2011, there will be 100 billion photos on Facebook.

How does this compare to other popular photo only services?
– photobucket: 8 billion photos
– Picasa: 7 billion photos
– Flickr: 5 billion photos

– Saturday and Sunday are the most popular days to upload photos on FB.

– Women upload and tag twice as many photos as men.

– The most active photo uploading users are 27 and 28 year old males/females.

– The average Facebook user has between 70,000-100,000 photos in their ‘network’.
