Facebook Prompts Users For Red Cross Donations In Light Of Philippines Disaster

on November 18, 2013 | Facebook | Comments (2)

It seems Facebook are doing their bit of ‘Social Good’ by currently prompting users to Donate to the Red Cross Charity in light of the recent natural disasters in the Philippines.

Many users when logging into Facebook are seeing the following notification at the top of their newsfeed:

facebookdonateprompt

Then allowing users to make a donation via Paypal or Credit Card:

facebookdonateredcrossphillipines

This is not the first time we have seen Facebook do their bit to try and support communities during time of crisis, often supporting other efforts across Africa and Asia.

Have you seen any other social networks support charity organisations in time of need? Let us know.
