Facebook Redesigns Their F Logo, More Simple and Sleek

Facebook has made an update to their resource centre stating they have redesigned the Facebook “F” Logo – showing off a more simple and sleek look.
The old “F’ Logo:
You can see the lighter blue colour at the bottom of the logo and shorter ‘F’ symbol.
The new Logo is as follows:
You can see the new logo has removed the light blue shade at the bottom of the icon, and also extending the ‘F’ symbol all the way to the bottom edge.
The new logo looks more sharp and minimal. There has been a rise in popularity lately for flat design such as this. This new icon kind of looks like Metro style apps for Windows.

Because the F logo is in so many places across the Facebook site, and on plugins and Like buttons – Facebook hasn’t updated to the new logo in every place just yet – it’s obviously a rather big task which they will no doubt get onto soon.
