Facebook To Acquire WhatsApp

Mark Zuckerberg has announced that Facebook will be acquiring WhatsApp. The deal is worth a combined USD $16 billion – $4 billion in cash and approximately $12 billion worth of Facebook shares.

The WhatsApp service is currently used by over 450 Million people, with 1 million new users signing up everyday.
