Facebook To Launch Satellite Into Space, Will Provide Free Internet To Africa

Mark Zuckerberg announced last year, as part of their internet.org initiativate they will be launching a satellite into space so they can provide Sub-Sahara Africa with a free internet service.
In this part of the world the infrastructure is not there to provide a consistent internet service, and also many people in this region cannot afford to purchase an internet plan, so Mark is stepping in at extroridiany lengths to provide internet. With Facebook’s resources and money, why wouldn’t he.
The AMOS-6 satellite will be launched later this year and maybe one day Facebook will have many satellites floating around space, giving the whole world free internet access. Who knows what direction they will go in, this is just the start.
