Facebook to provide SSL access (HTTPS)

Facebook has been praised by privacy advocates around the world for rolling out more simplified privacy controls last month.

The privacy changes have also won praise from much of its users as now controlling your personal information is much more simple.

Facebook has not said they are looking to roll out SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) access to the Facebook site, encrypting the link between a users computer and Facebook’s servers protecting user traffic from being intercepted.

Google recently provided SSL access to Google.com (https://www.google.com)

Facebook is yet to announce the official date SSL access will be available but we will keep you updated.

The site would be https://www.facebook.com
