Google crowns Facebook 1st in page views, Yahoo 2nd
Google has recently released more internet traffic data from their Google Adplanner / DoubleClick system.
According to Adplanner, Facebook is visited by 540 million people monthly – which is around 35% of the internet population.
Yahoo network is visited by 490 million visitors per month – 31% of the internet population.
On Facebook approximately 570 billion pages are viewed every month.
Clearly the privacy concerns surrounding Facebook are not causing uses to leave the site and quit. Many critics are calling for Facebook to default all settings to private. Facebook has rejected such claims saying that people use the site so they can connect and share with people and friends around them.
