Google+ Finally Rolls Out Vanity URLs To Most Users

As of today, Google+ (Google Plus) is now offering vanity urls (“pretty urls”) to normal non business accounts.
Previously vanity URLs were only available to verified accounts, businesses and brands.
Google+ first started testing the vanity URL system in August 2012 so it has taken them awhile to finally roll this product out to the general public – a much requested feature over time but both business and average users.
From today if your profile meets the following criteria you are eligible for a vanity URL:
- Has a profile photo, and
- Has at least 10 followers, and
- Has an account that’s at least 30 days old.
To setup your new URL you can simply login to your Google+ account and following the prompts.
Alternatively many users have received emails notifying them that the new URLs are available. If you can’t see the new option yet you will have to patiently wait.
