Google+ Introduces Facial Recognition

on December 15, 2011 | Google Plus | Comments (0)

Facial Recognition has been added to the Google+ social network as an opt-in feature.

To enable this feature on your Google Plus account go to your settings page: https://plus.google.com/settings/plus

Google Plus Facial Recognition
Facebook some time ago added Facial Recognition to their site, but this feature was opt-out and could automatically recognise your face and those of your friends when you upload new photos – but it wouldn’t automatically tag you without your consent.

Google has also rolled out a number of other changes to the site, including:

  • homepage redesign
  • new notifications tab
  • quick status update in the top right hand of the site
