Google is now letting 3rd party applications into the Google Plus API for business pages.

This means people will be able to manage and update their business pages using a 3rd party system without having to go directly to the Google+ website.

At the moment there are a number of developers whom have access to the Google Plus API:

  • Hootsuite
  • Buddy Media
  • Vitrue
  • Context Optional
  • Hearsay Social
  • Involver

These are all paid for applications that large businesses are using.

I am really waiting for Google Plus to allow automatic posting by a RSS feed. I want to automatically post all my content onto my Google Plus business page. At the moment this doesn’t seem possible but it looks like we are getting closer.

A huge amount of bloggers will no doubt also be waiting for this feature to come. As soon as access is allowed we will let you know.
