Google Still Pushing G+ Hard
It seems Google is still pushing their social network Google Plus fairly hard in terms of self-promotion.
I can now see on various Google Search sites around the world a blue bar across the top of the search homepage.
This bar is pointing to the G+ site and is actually fixed, you can’t dismiss the bar.
The holiday season is a particularly busy time for social networking, as we all have time off work and enjoying a nice holiday somewhere.
Also in the holiday season we often see spikes in web searching so it’s clear Google want to capitalise and push as much traffic through to Google Plus as possible.
Will it work?
Only time will tell.
