Google Wallet Launched

Google Wallet has launched in the US and currently available for customers using Sprint Nexus S 4G phones with a Citi MasterCard or Visa Card.

You may be familiar in Australia with the MasterCard PayPass where you can ‘Tap and Go’. The Google Wallet is a similar concept except your can assign a specific credit card to your phone – basically making your phone a credit card, or wallet.

Google now has a worldwide license to Visa’s payWave technology. Google has further announced that in due course American Express and Discover will be part of the Google Wallet system.
