iOS5 Bug – SOS Only

If you have upgraded your iPhone to iOS5 you may notice occasionally your network coverage says SOS Only.

This seems to be a bug affecting iOS5 users. I’ve tested this and it seems you can still make calls and send text messages, but the error is confusing as you may often think you have no signal or network coverage.

There doesn’t seem to be a statement from Apple about this yet, but no doubt the next firmware update will correct this problem.

You can restart your phone which may fix the issue for the time being.
