PayPal to create Social Login buttons

on October 12, 2011 | PayPal | Comments (1)

PayPal is looking to release a new product, which is like a PayPal Social Login button. The product will be called PayPal Acces.

This new service will primarily benefit online retailers, allowing a user who already has PayPal account to login to the merchant website, create an account and complete the transaction.

This will certainly streamline the sales process for many online retail organisations. To start with PayPal has partnered with Social integrators, Gigya and Janrain whom will be offering this product as part of their suite of products.

It will be interesting to see how many online retailers decide to implement the PayPal access product, and how this helps increase their sales conversions.

I'm courious to see how much consumer will understand that login with PayPal will be safe and they will not share any financial information with the merchant. If Facebook login is quite easy to understand, when you speak about payment tool, it isn't… Cheers, A.
