Social Media to Help Spread the Word About Chlamydia
The Australian Government is planning to use social media as the marketing tool of choice for a new campaign in place to help spread the word about the dangers of chlamydia.
About 1000 new cases of HIV are detected every year in Australia and is increasing year on year. The Australia Government understands it is about sending the warning signals of unsafe sex to prevent STD’s from going bad to worse in Australia. It is unknown at this stage how the government plans to implement this social media strategy.
This is a great example of how marketing in general has changed over the years and the use of social media is starting to be adopted by the Australian government. Check out the Australian tv advertisement below that aired in 1987 to help spread the word about AIDS . The same message with a different tone.
