Spotify Launches in Australia

Spotify, the Swedish based music streaming service has come to Australia and also New Zealand. In fact in Sweden and Norway Spotify has overtaken iTunes as the number 1 online music service.
Australian users will have full access to the 16 million songs, which you can stream over your computer or through your smartphone (namely iPhone or iPad devices). The service here will be free indefinitely which is a big bonus to Australian users (other countries around the world don’t get such access).
Of course you can buy the Unlimited package for $6.99 per month to get the ads removed. There is also a Premium package available for $11.99 a month which let’s you listen to all your music offline.
The main competitor to Spotify is Rdio, which also has significant traction around the world.
