Telstra and BlackBerry Integrate Billing

on November 14, 2011 | Blackberry Telstra | Comments (0)

In an interesting move that has been rolled out today – BlackBerry users on Telstra no longer have to setup payment details with Research In Motion (RIM) for purchasing games and applications in the BlackBerry App World.

Instead BlackBerry users can get all their app purchases added directly onto their monthly Telstra bill. This is a useful integration and surely makes managing your payments much easier.

It seems BlackBerry is working with other telcos to allow this ‘carrier billing’, with such integrations first occurring in North America around 1 year ago.

This means when purchasing apps and games from the BlackBerry App World, customers will no longer need to get out the credit card, instead the charge will be directly added to their Telstra mobile bill.
