Twitter Australia stats update
With the continued growth of Twitter in Australia it may be worth looking at the latest estimated stats courtesy of Google.
Unlike in the US where Twitter has higher female participating, in Australia 66% of Twitter users are Male, and 34% Female.
– There are approx 1.2 million Australian Twitter users monthly generating close to 75 million page views.
Age demographics:
0-17 yrs 17%
18-24 yrs 6%
25-34 yrs 13%
35-44 yrs 18%
45-54 yrs 35%
55-64 yrs 8%
65 or older 3%
Interesting that the highest Twitter user group is people aged 45-54 years of age. Second most active group is children/ teens 0-17 years of age.
