Twitter buys TweetDeck
There are rumors floating around that in the next couple days Twitter will announce their purchase of TweetDeck.
TweetDeck is a mobile application that allows users to easily manager their Twitter stream, timeline, @replied and messages – and was one of the first 3rd Party Mobile applications for Twitter.
Twitter themselves were very slow to develop their own Twitter application. They actually didn’t – they purchased Mobile Application Tweetie in April 2010 which was a competitor to TweeDeck.
Surely if Twitter developed their own applications they would be saving considerable costs in acquiring these services.
Anyway, keep an eye on our Twitter officially announce their purchase of TweetDeck.
