Twitter Rolls Out New Rules To Protect Users And Stop Abuse

on December 30, 2015 | Twitter | Comments (0)

twitter-square-blueTwitter has rolled out a number of new rules and policies aiming to make the service more friendly and further encourage freedom of expression.

These new policies include:

1. Blocking accounts for a period of time or indefinitely
2. Phone and Email verification
3. Asking users to delete offensive tweets before they can use the service again

The question is though: these new rules seem all good and justified – but how vigorously will Twitter crack down on abusive accounts and how many resources as a company will they dedicate to fighting hateful behaviour.
