Twitter has launched a new product called Twitter Stories.

Basically the product is showing the ‘Best of Twitter’ – a maximum of 20 heartwarming stories about great things that have come from Twitter.

You can check out the site at: http://stories.twitter.com/

So far there are stories about:

– someone getting a kidney donation from the attention their tweet got

– how a man saved his mothers bookshop from exposure gained by Twitter

– Japanese fishermen selling their fish on Twitter before returning to land

+ many more.

You can then click on a story (some having pictures and video) where you can read a 200-300 summary about that particular piece, and follow the Twitter user who created the story.

You can submit your own story by sending a tweet to @twitterstories or by using the hashtag #twitterstories

Twitter Stories looks to be a great way to show the humanity behind Twitter and its users, which is sometimes harder to show in a 140 character tweet – think social good.
