Twitter To Shut Down Their Music App
Less than 1 year ago, we reported that Twitter launched their own Music app for IOS which gives you music recommendations from your friends and people you follow.
Twitter have announced that they will be shutting down the service and the application will stop working on April 18.
Twitter confirmed the closure in the following tweet:
Later this afternoon, we will be removing Twitter #music from the App Store. If you have the app, it will continue to work until April 18.

Will you miss the service?
Many people didn’t even know it existed and we can all assume it didn’t get the traction Twitter was looking for.
I did think it was a little strange when they first launched the service, especially creating a totally separate application that many didn’t know existed. I always thought if it was integrated into the existing app it would have got much greater traction.
You never know, maybe that is their plan for the future.
