Facebook Posts Record Earnings At US$1.81B for Q2
Earlier this morning Facebook released their Second Quarter Earnings Report for 2013.
The news is in, and it’s good for Facebook – they have posted a record revenue for the quarter of US$1.813 Billion, with mobile ads counting for 41% of total revenue.
Net Income for Q2 was US$333 Million.
For anyone doubting Facebook and that they are on the decline – you may want to think again.
Facebook have released some additional commentary about user numbers and growth:
- Daily active users (DAUs) were 699 million on average for June 2013, an increase of 27% year-over-year.
- Monthly active users (MAUs) were 1.15 billion as of June 30, 2013, an increase of 21% year-over-year.
- Mobile MAUs were 819 million as of June 30, 2013, an increase of 51% year-over-year. Mobile DAUs were 469 million on average for June 2013.
So Facebook now has 1.15 billion monthly active users.
Also of interest is that Facebook now has over 200 million mobile only users. Facebook is clearly making progress in developing markets and we saw earlier in the week they announced ‘Facebook for Every Phone’ a lite version of the site for lower cost feature phones, has now hit 100 million downloads.
