Google rolls out Rel Author to Australia

Google has now activated Rel = Author for Australian website, ie .com.au websites.

This means if you implement Rel = Author and point this to your Google Plus profile you may have your Google Plus profile picture showing in Google Search Results.

I believe this is great for attracting users and showing your website as a credible information source.

I implemented this as soon as I could (about 2 months ago), and it’s great to see Google has now made this available to Australian websites.

However I don’t think every single site will get this privilege – there may be some sort of approval process by Google.

Anyway, I am happy that this has been enabled for me. I wrote this article on how to implement Rel = Author on your website if you are interested (simple way).
