Google to close Google Buzz
Google has decided they will be shutting down their older social network, Google Buzz which was launched last year. Google Buzz is somewhat similar to Twitter by users being able to post short status updates.
This has been expected for sometime as they focus their efforts on the Google Plus product. When Buzz was launched last year there were some significant privacy flaws which resulted in Google settling a class action lawsuit for $8.5 million USD and committing to new privacy measures.
Google also recently announced that Google Plus has accumulated 40 million users.
