MySpace to Update User Profiles

on July 16, 2010 | MySpace | Comments (0)

MySpace is testing a completely redesigned version of its user profile pages.

MySpace’s vice president of online marketing, Sean Percival tweeted about the site redesign.

Some of the updates include:

– A new left-hand navigation menu: Profile navigation has been aligned into the left hand navigation menu below the profile picture.

– More focus on the MySpace stream: MySpace Stream (which is basically the sites version of the Facebook Friend News Feed). This is a major highlight of the the new profiles.

– Follow users other social networks. There is a new option to follow a user on on another social network besides MySpace, such as Twitter, Facebook and more.

– An upgraded and improved User Interface. The new profiles will have better design than the old design, which has remained much the same over the past 5 years.

More to come as the profiles are rolled out to public MySpace profiles.
