NBN Uptake Behind Schedule

At the end of 2011, only 4000 homes had been connected to National Broadband Network, which was well below the NBN Co goal of 35,000 homes by June last year.
What seems to be stalling the process is the deal with Telstra, who are looking to let NBN Co use all their underground infrastructure which would significantly ease the rollout process.
The ACCC is still yet to approve the Telstra/ NBN deal, but this is expected to go ahead next month.
2012 will be an interesting year for the National Broadband Network, as the Federal Government really need to get this rolling along and more homes connected, otherwise it will look like another failed policy promise.
