Search Engine Market Share Statistics, April 2011 – Australia

We have had a look at the Search Engine Market shares in Australia for April 2011.

The main players in the Search space in Australia are:

– Google
– Bing
– Yahoo

As I’m sure you already knew!

What is interesting though is Google’s penetration into the market still remains far far ahead of any competition.

We are starting to see in the USA that Bing and Yahoo have made good inroads into Google and taking back a substantial amount of the market share. In Australia it doesn’t look like this is happening yet.

Google is holding around 94-95% of the Search Market in Australia.

However Bing is starting to show up on the radar more which is good as I believe we need increased competition in this industry in Australia and World-wide.
