Thoughts on Steve Jobs iPhone 4 Press Conference

on July 19, 2010 | Apple iPhone | Comments (0)

Steve Jobs has let down two decades of near perfect Apple marketing and praise by saying that the Apple iPhone 4 was just like any other phone, stating:

It’s certainly not unique to the iPhone 4… you could go to YouTube and see Nokia phones and Motorola phones doing the same thing.
Behind him on the projector screen;

Not unique to iPhone

Wow. With over 170,000 words in the English dictionary, Steve Jobs decided to use the single most important word that I many find special with Apple.

Unique

Apple was always unique. Until now – it seems Apple is just another manufacturer, and apparently an Apple engineer even told Steve Jobs about the design flaws but Jobs decided to release the product regardless.

What will be the impact of this PR disaster for other international launches for the iPhone 4.

What about the iPhone 5? The problem for Apple is so many of their competitors will be high-fiving right about now.
