Alexa.com now selling Web Stats – AWIS
Many of you may not know this, but Alexa.com has a program called the Alexa Web Information Service (AWIS), which sells historic and detailed web stats about any site in the Alexa index.
You only pay something like $0.15 to view detailed stats of up to 1000 sites.
Alexa which is owned by Amazon.com – look to have had this service running since October 11, 2005! Why didn’t I hear of it sooner 🙁
If you have worked for a long running website, it could be worth researching into your historic traffic details, and seeing how world and domestic events over the past years have impacted your website traffic.
Interesting stat, yesterday Facebook had an Alexa Rank of 1, beating Google.com
