Instagram Will Soon Start Showing Ads In Your Feed

videoigsmallThis October celebrates 3 years of Instagram, and now the photo-sharing service has announced they plan on making money by including ads into the feeds of its 150 million+ users.

This will now present an opportunity for brands to show off their pictures and videos via Instagram advertisements. The company saying: “Our aim is to make any advertisements you see feel as natural to Instagram as the photos and videos many of you already enjoy from your favorite brands. After all, our team doesn’t just build Instagram, we use it each and every day. We want these ads to be enjoyable and creative in much the same way you see engaging, high-quality ads when you flip through your favorite magazine. ”

Instagram goes on further saying initially the ads will only show to users in the United States, with a global roll-out no doubt soon after.

We will keep you updated when the ads start showing in Australia and what sort of prices advertisers pay.
