Who Gets iOS5?
After Apple’s big event announcing the iPhone 4S many have been wondering which Apple devices will get the new iOS5 operating system.
This is the most significant OS update by Apple with a number of new features and functionality – all up there is around 200 new features.
The following devices will be able to run iOS5, which can be downloaded for free on October 12 :
– iPhone 3GS
– iPhone 4
– iPhone 4S
– iPod Touch 3rd & 4th Generation models
– iPad and iPad 2.
I am pleased to hear this as I have 1st Gen iPad and 3GS so pleased I will get to use the iOS5 features without having to upgrade handsets. It is in Apple’s interested to get iOS5 on as many devices as possible.
