Last month we saw Facebook reach 15 million users in Australia, which is approximately 62.5% of the total 24 million population.

7. Twitter – 2,800,000 Monthly Active Australian Users approx (see calculation)
8. WhatsApp – 2,400,000 Active Australian Users (see calculation)

Key Points to Note:
- Blogger/ Blogspot sees slow decline as a blogging platform, possibly because this Google owned product doesn’t get much updates or support anymore.
- As I have mentioned over my past reports, a Facebook increase was expected and we’ve seen an increase of 1 million users over the last couple months. This is now reflected in their advertising tool.
- Travel related social networks will increase their users over the summer months
- Theoretically, the leap year creates some kind of statistical addition to every social networks user numbers this month.
